The internet never stops moving, we are in the 2.0 era in which most of the portals allow audience interaction, which is referenced in comments, publications, pronouncements, and all kinds of positions that Internet users expose when deciding to participate in a certain website.
A great example of 2.0 portals are social networks, blogs, and even some online games; the truth is that right now thanks to the movements generated by the navigators within the web, it is that news and data are spread with such speed, given the global interconnection that represents the network.
This facilitates the proliferation of trends, and before wandering around, in this publication I intend to teach you to analyze several trends simultaneously with a very interesting Google tool; in question I mean Google Trends.
Analyze the trend of “searches” within Google
It is necessary to keep in mind that trends that Google Trends allows investigating, are “search”, that is, they correspond to keywords that users are entering within the search engine so massive that Google represents.
The relationship is indirect with the means of interaction 2.0, which they really are the ones that really viralize trends, which results in the interest of people who are emerging “fashion” could be relevant, and who end up looking for it in search engines like Google.
How several keywords are compared simultaneously
This is just one of the things that can be done with this interesting tool, but to compare several keywords at the same time, we must, first of all, go to the main page of the tool, which in this case is: http://www.google.com/trends/
Now we pay attention to the bar that appears at the top of the website; there we will enter the sets of keywords that we want to analyze, and we separate them with commas (,). For example, I will compare the search trend of the iPhone 5 and 5S, and the iPhone 6 and 6S, which would be as follows:
Perfect, with this part ready, just subtract press the “enter” button, and with it, the system will process the request, giving us as a result, that comparison that we were looking forward to so much. The result is what you see next.
The colors assigned to each keyword that is seen before the graph of the search trend, are the respective ones of each line that makes the fluctuation of the requests present (it is something perhaps obvious but it should be mentioned in case anyone has not noticed ).
In the lower part, after the graph, you can find additional information about the interest in geography, and in an even lower zone, they appear keyword suggestions that may be of interest to us, based on each set of them that we have placed at the time of processing the tool analysis.
Issues you should keep in mind
Depending on the search volume that is being present before certain keywords, Google Trends may or may not allow the analysis. Sometimes when the keywords entered within the tool, they do not represent a considerable interest for a certain number of users (which is referenced in the number of times the keywords are requested in the search engine), it is not possible to get a graphic or data that we can analyze.
Another question should be commented, is that “analyze trends” is only a premise, since all kinds of keywords can be investigated, which may or may not be trends as such; they can also be keywords that people are constantly looking for overtime, or they are about to disappear. In any case, Google Trends allows you to identify the growth or decrease of certain keywords, as time goes by.
Finally, it should be added that up to five combinations of keywords can be analyzed simultaneously; Without exception, a larger quantity cannot be entered into the tool. However, with the current possibilities, there is very little to complain about.
I say goodbye in this post (I had not published in Aminadab for a long time), and I hope you can get the most out of this utility offered by Google, for free.
